DIRECTIONS TO LOCATION:
Freetown State Forest is located in south-east Massachusetts.
From the South & East/New Bedford Area:
Take MA-140 to exit 8 (Chase Road) toward E. Freetown/Assonet.
Turn Right at Chase Road. Turn Right onto Slab Bridge and for 1.5 miles to the forest entrance. Please see map below for detailed directions.

From the North & West/ Fall River & Taunton areas:
Take Rte. 24 to exit 10. Bear left onto South Main Street. Turn left at four corners onto Rte. 79 north and right onto Elm Street which then turns into Slab Bridge Road; continue for 1.5 miles to the forest entrance. Please see map below for detailed directions.

When taking exit 10 off Rte. 24, go the opposite way on Main St. (north) to Bryant St. and take a right. At stop sign go straight thru & veer right on Algerine. Road changes to Locust St at town line. Take Locust St. to end and follow detour signs, left on Rte. 79, right on Walnut, left on Slab Bridge, Forest entrance 1.5 miles.
